Allyson Rafanello, Assistant Dean of Students
As one portion of her position, Allyson serves as a resource to LGBT* students on campus and supervises the LGBT* Student Services Coordinator and the LGBT* Center Graduate Assistant.
The LGBT* Center Ambassador program was created in the Fall of 2014 to support outreach efforts from the LGBT* Center while continuing to keep student involvement a priority in the Center. Applications for ambassadors positions are typically available at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters, depending on the size of the team. Ambassadors are trained to represent the Center at campus and community events, may help co-facilitate Safe Zone Ally training sessions, develop their own projects relating to LGBTQ+ issues, and serve as a resource to other students while they are in the center.
