As a University resource, the LGBT* Center serves as a partner and collaborator to UNI's student organizations including specifically the organizations with a vested interest in supporting LGBTQ+ students, including the ones listed below.
UNI Proud is a social and political non-partisan student organization which is dedicated to promoting education and acceptance for the queer community at UNI. The group meets on Tuesdays at 7 PM in the Maucker Union Oak Room. Northern Iowa Student Government represents all UNI students, regulates student organization, and works on issues pertaining to student affairs on our campus. Cedar Valley Pridefest - organizes the annual Pride event in Waterloo, typically the first weekend after Fall classes begin (Facebook)
Transcend North Iowa - trans, non-binary, and gender nonconforming social support, education, and advocacy group located in Mason City and Charles City (Facebook)
One Iowa - statewide LGBTQ+ organization focused on achieving equality, advocacy, and education
Iowa Safe Schools - statewide organization focused on LGBTQ and allied youth students
