    This website provides a list of important resources in regards to safety and health at UNI. This includes a list of numbers for UNI police, Seeds of Hope, Sexual Assault and violence Intervention, Public Safety, and so forth. Please refer to this page and call for help if you are in crisis. If you or anyone you know is in immediate danger, please call UNI Public Safety at (319) 273-2712 immediately.

Suicide Prevention Hotline

RAINN | Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network

A resource for those who have experienced either rape, abuse, or incest. Those who know someone who have experienced these may come here also for more information on how to support them through the person's healing process.


Riverview Center (Iowa)

A good resource for those suffering from domestic abuse and sexual assault of any sort.


Grief Watch

This is a good website for those experiencing personal grief and needing help or support through the bereavement process. This link takes you to the support group page of their site. There is even more resources in the left hand menu bar on the site itself.

 


Live Another Day

Live Another Day provides addition and mental health resources for all.  They evaluated over 14,000 treatment providers throughout the country and only listed the centers that meet our standards for high-quality care.  They also have a list of resources specifically for QTBIPOC people.


The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25. You can reach The Trevor Project’s crisis hotline 24/7 by calling 1-866-488-7386.
 


Detox Local's AAPI Resources

A list of 45 resources for Asian American & Pacific Islanders experiencing addiction or mental health concerns.  This list includes a section focused on the LGBTQ+ AAPI community.


Trans Lifeline

Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline and microgrants 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis - for the trans community, by the trans community. Their hotline can be reached 24/7 by calling 1-877-565-8860.
