About Gender & Sexuality Services

In December 2013, after years of planning, Gender & Sexuality Services was opened on the upper level of the Maucker Union, in the heart of the University of Northern Iowa's campus. Our location within the Plaza level of the Maucker Union is also home to the Northern Iowa Student Government (NISG), Student Involvement, Military & Veteran Student Services, the Center for Multicultural Education and International Engagement.

As a university resource, the mission of Gender & Sexuality Services is to "...promote healthy, engaged, successful LGBT students and allies. Gender & Sexuality Services provides a safe space, resources and educational opportunities to advocate for an inclusive community."

Contact Gender & Sexuality Services at lgbt@uni.edu or call 319-273-5428.
